anchor-distributorsLexham Press and Anchor Distributors announced Thursday that they are partnering to provide digital resources for bookstores. Lexham Press is the publishing imprint of Faithlife Corporation, the makers of Logos Bible Software.

With the new partnership, Lexham will continue to cultivate relationships with digital readers and academic partners, while Anchor will house, distribute and market Lexham print titles for trade and retail channels.

Jesse Myers, Lexham’s marketing manager, said the partnership is unique to the Christian publishing industry.

“While Lexham has a direct relationship with millions of Logos users, we’re relatively new to the print publishing space,” Myers said. “Anchor, meanwhile, has an extensive and mature trade and retail print distribution network. This agreement will allow both partners to play to our strengths.”

John Whitaker, vice president of Anchor Distributors, said that the partnership was a good fit for both parties.

“We’re excited to partner with Lexham Press,” Whitaker said. “Everyone recognizes that the name Logos Bible Software is synonymous with the finest technological Bible study resources available; we’re honored to bring these resources to the market in print form.”

Myers spoke of Anchor's "unique strengths" that contribute significantly to the partnership.

“Their impressive warehousing and distribution capabilities and existing relationships with the Christian retail are second to none,” Myers said.

Though most publishers struggle to adapt to the digital landscape, Brannon Ellis, Lexham’s associate publisher of editorial, said that is not the case for Lexham.

“Lexham was born digital, and we’re now using what we’ve learned to branch out into print,” Ellis said. “We believe there’s huge potential for innovation here, but it’s the opposite of what the industry is used to—it wasn’t easy to find the right partner.”

Whitaker added that both consumers and retailers will benefit from Anchor’s capacity to respond quickly, utilizing Bethany Press’ print-on-demand facility located in the Anchor's Western Pennsylvania warehouse.

Lexham titles will begin appearing in Anchor mailings immediately and soon will be available through Christian retailers.
