Mary-Square-LogoGift company Mary Square recently launched its Five & Two program, a philanthropic initiative that provides resources to people in need through the company's new corporate partnership with World Help.

Five & Two is named after Jesus’s parable of multiplying five loaves of bread and two fish to feed thousands. Similarly, Mary Square’s goal is to invest in people, and allow that investment to multiply.

Five & Two program comprises four initiatives to bring hope and healing to impoverished people around the globe, Shop the Square, Squared Away, Five & Two Marketplace and Square It Up. Through the “Shop the Square” initiative, a percentage of each wholesale order is donated to World Help to drill deep water wells around the world. With the “Squared Away” initiative, two Mary Square employees will visit Uganda as part of a World Help international mission team in 2016. One-hundred percent of profits from the Five & Two Marketplace, a designated portion of Mary Square’s retail website comprised of approximately 150 items, is donated to World Help to provide clean water to Third-World communities in sub-Saharan Africa. And through "Square It Up,” online shoppers have an opportunity to round up to the nearest dollar during the purchase process on Mary Square’s website. Proceeds go directly to World Help.

Kelly Shiley, CEO of Mary Square, was proud to see the Five & Two program become a reality.

“Our Five & Two program is an initiative we’ve dreamed about since the company formed in 2011," Shiley said. "Our partnership with World Help turns a Five & Two dream into reality by providing life-saving resources to communities around the world. Our desire is to see Mary Square retail and wholesale customers gift with purpose and make a long-term impact in lives of those less fortunate.”

Noel Yeatts, vice president of World Help, said she was pleased to partner with Mary Square.

“We’re excited to welcome Mary Square as a World Help corporate partner,” Yeatts said. “The Five & Two program showcases a wonderful style of servant leadership, and we are looking forward to increased opportunities to serve the physical and spiritual needs of people in underprivileged communities around the world.”

Mary Square is in the process of setting 2016 donation goals for Five & Two and plans to share progress regularly via MarySquare.com.
