Logos Bible Software named among Best Christian Workplaces Print Email

BCWIBellingham, Washington-based Logos Bible Software has been named one of the Best Christian Workplaces for 2014. The company has made the list many times, and earlier this year also was presented with the Glassdoor Best Places to Work Employees’ Choice Award.

Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI) announced July 30 that 76 distinguished organizations have earned certification as Best Christian Workplaces this year. Every year since 2003, BCWI has identified the list of Certified Best Christian Workplaces. This year saw the largest participation level since the inception of the program.

CharlesSpurgeon-webB&H Publishing Group will release The Lost Sermons of Charles Spurgeon, a multi-volume edition of early Spurgeon sermons and sermon outlines.

Charles Spurgeon, the 19th-century London pastor nicknamed “the Prince of Preachers,” preached to more than 10 million people, baptized more than 14,000 converts and sold more than 50 million copies of his sermons.

Yancy wins Worship House Media's producer award for kid's video Print Email

Yancy won for her video of the Chris Tomlin song “Our God,” which is featured on her 2013 album release, Jesus Music Box (Elevate Entertainment/Syntax Distribution).

The award is presented each year to the top-selling video on Salem Church Products’ WorshipHouseKids.com. This marks the third year in a row that Yancy has taken home the Producer Award in the Kids Video category.

News Corp completes Harlequin Enterprises acquisition Print Email

HarlequinWithTagline-resizedNews Corp announced Aug. 1 that the company had completed its acquisition of Harlequin Enterprises from Torstar Corp., extending the global platform and digital presence of its HarperCollins Publishers subsidiary.

As previously announced, Harlequin will operate as a division of HarperCollins and remains headquartered in Toronto, as do the offices of HarperCollins Canada.
