Eerdmans announces new director of sales Print Email

Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co. has promoted Franklin Goldberg from inside sales representative to director of sales.

Goldberg will be responsible for all domestic and international sales of both the adult and children's titles for the Grand Rapids, Mich., publisher. In his new role, Goldberg will also oversee the sales team, bookstore, rights and permissions and e-commerce activities.

Goldberg has 15 years of sales experience, including 12 in religious book sales and nine years of experience in pastoral ministry.

 
Nelson promotes Bryan Norman to associate publisher Print Email

Thomas Nelson has promoted Bryan Norman from associate acquisitions editor to associate publisher of the nonfiction trade group.

In his new role, Norman will be responsible for day-to-day operations and strategic list building for one of Nelson's two nonfiction book divisions, as well as continuing to edit key projects and acquiring new authors.

Norman began his career at Nelson more than six years ago, working as an associate editor at Cool Springs Press. He has worked closely with some of the company's major authors, including Donald Miller, Sheila Walsh, John MacArthur and Marcus Buckingham.

Norman "has been instrumental in developing many of the strategies and tools that have strengthened our business during this time," said Brian Hampton, Nelson's senior vice president and publisher. Norman's "solid publishing experience, his creativity and his editorial and people skills make him uniquely suited to this new role."

The Almighty Bible in virtual winter show Print Email

The Almighty Bible's products are being spotlighted in Christian Retailing's Virtual Christian Retailing Winter Show.

Running through March 31, the virtual show highlights some of the key new and backlist products from several leading suppliers.

A company that seeks to connect to a new generation of Bible readers, The Almighty Bible's graphic-novel series of Bible books includes The Almighty Bible: Genesis and The Almighty Bible: Exodus. The company also offers iPad and iPhone applications, a Bible Club and Image Bank CDs with graphics to use in ministry.

The winter focus—the magazine's fifth online exhibition—follows last summer's Virtual Christian Retailing Show. Previous virtual shows have attracted 5,500 visits from more than 3,000 unique visitors in 64 countries.

Access to the online event is free, with visiting retailers also eligible for a drawing to win an Apple iPad.
