“Why does God allow suffering?” asked Paul Eaton, pastor and Hope for Hurting Hearts’ producer. “This is one of the key questions of the human experience. This film looks at suffering through the lives of four people as they grapple with that question. Their answer will surprise you.” Narrated by Dr. James Dobson, the film features testimonies from Greg Laurie—who wrote the Hope for Hurting Hearts book (NavPress) on which the movie is based—and his wife, Cathe Laurie, as well as author and motivational speaker Nick Vujicic and recording artist Jeremy Camp. “The festival offers an exciting look into the latest movies to hit the market,” said Paul Boge, coordinator for the 2014 festival. “Our goal is to bring to festival goers the best in the latest films and TV episodes that will encourage, challenge and inspire us to positive values and to a greater understanding of the human journey.” The film festival runs Feb. 18-23. The winner in the Feature Documentary category will be announced on the final day of the festival. Since its
