Word Entertainment and LightWorkers Media launched The Bible: Son of God Tour 2014 at Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church in Southern California. GRAMMY-nominated artists Francesca Battistelli and Natalie Grant, as well as Sidewalk Prophets, Chris August, Meredith Andrews and Jason Gray, played before a packed crowd with more than 2,000 in attendance, including producer Mark Burnett, actress/producer Roma Downey, Warren and Word Entertainment President and CEO Rod Riley.

The two-hour live event was also hosted at churches in Phoenix; Albuquerque, N.M.; and Denver in the following days. The tour will run an additional 13 dates nationwide through April 13.

The Bible: SON OF GOD Tour 2014 brings the epic miniseries The Bible and 20th Century Fox feature film Son of God to life in sight and sound with video footage and visual effects paired with live musical performances. Artists perform their biggest radio hits alongside the chronological telling of the story of Christ.

Burnett and Downey’s LightWorkers Media produced the 10-hour History Channel The Bible miniseries, which received three Emmy Award nominations and has been seen by more than 100 million viewers.  Burnett and Downey’s gospel-focused feature film, Son of God, debuted Feb. 28 to a $25.6 million opening weekend at the box office.
