"Buck Denver and Friends learned a whole lot while making ‘What’s in the Bible?’ and now it’s time to put that knowledge into practice,” Vischer said. “Where better to do that than in deep space? ‘Galaxy Buck’ gives us a whole universe to explore while showing kids what following Jesus looks like in real life. “It isn’t enough to know our faith,” Vischer added. “Through a group of lovable, space-faring puppets, ‘Galaxy Buck’ will help kids learn to live their faith. I’m excited for families to join us for the ride.” Vischer, whose “VeggieTales” series has sold more than 50 million videos, will release the first DVD in the trilogy, “Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9,” on Oct. 20. The series is produced by his studio, Jellyfish Labs, in partnership with Creative Trust, which previously collaborated with Vischer on the “Buck Denver Asks…What’s in the Bible?” series. “True to brand, Phil Vischer is not just creating a new series, he is concocting an innovative mash up of exceptional storytelling with the most endearing group of characters in the universe,” said Dan Raines, president of Creative Trust. “Thanks to Phil and his creative team, there will not be a dull moment.” In addition to an entertaining storyline, “Galaxy Buck” (galaxybuck.net) also will feature innovative filmmaking techniques. With miniature sets hand-carved primarily by Vischer, “Galaxy Buck” will combine the sets with CGI animation and live action for a visually rich experience for viewers. As with the entire “What’s in the Bible?” cast, Vischer will continue to write and voice each character in the series. The first DVD in the series will debut on jellytelly.com |
