Christian retail channel offers for the week of June 13

Last-minute Father's Day shoppers are offered savings from two chains. Mardel Christian & Education’s email promotion suggests Give Him Willow Tree, including figurines such as Generations and Home, retailing for $32 and $30 each.

The Mardel offer also highlights RJM Jewelry items at 50% off, including a cut-out cross tag bracelet for $7.49 and a two-piece shield cross necklace for $13.49. Patriotic T-shirts are on sale for $5.

Family Christian Stores presents $5 and 50% Off Doorbusters for Dad in one of its promotions. The specials include The Bible Experience Audio Bible on CD, reduced from $124.99 to $62.49, and The Blind Side DVD, reduced from $19.99 to $9.99. John Eldredge's Wild at Heart DVD study is priced at $19.99, down from $39.99, while baseball biography Pujols: More than the Game, is reduced from $24.99 to $12.49.

The mailing also includes a Create Your Own sale coupon, offering 25% off.

A separate Mardel emailing promotes its One Day Music Sale, June 18, when all CDs under $16.99 will be reduced to $7.99 each, There will also be 20% of all DVDs.

Parable stores' email leads with Kyle Idleman's new Not A Fan, offered online for $12.97, with an online coupon for 15% off any one non-sale music item through June 18. Also featured is Owl City's new CD, All Things Bright and Beautiful, available for $11.97 online.

LifeWay Christian Stores offers the bestseller, Heaven is for Real, for $10, down from $16.99, while David Platt's Radical Together is priced at $9.99 (regular price $14.99). The chain's separate music newsletter offers reduced DVDs. Among them, are Flywheel, Director’s Cut and Facing the Giants (each from $14.98 to $9.99), and Fireproof for $10 (usually $19.99).

Christian retail channel offers for the week of May 30

Parable stores are offering shoppers the chance to win a $100 online shopping spree in their emailing promotion. Anyone writing a review of a product available at Parable.com is to be entered in a drawing for the prize.

Details of the competition are posted at the group's Web site, where offers include 25% off select fiction titles (among them Allison Pittman's For Time & Eternity, reduced from $13.99 to $10.49). Todd Burpo's bestselling Heaven is For Real is reduced from $16.99 to $9.97.

The Parable site also offers Tim Tebow's new autobiography, Through My Eyes, for $20.97 for online purchases, down from $26.99. The hardback is also featured in one of LifeWay Christian Stores' promotions, where it is priced at $19.99.

The chain's other emailing focuses on music, highlighting Nicole C. Mullen's new Captivated. It is available for $7.99 (regular price, $13.99). Also reduced to $7.99 are albums by Chris Tomlin (Hello Love) and Switchfoot (Hello Hurricane) and DVDs The Wager, starring Randy Travis, and Chonda Pierce's This Ain't Prettyville.

Christian retail channel offers for the week of June 6

Big savings are available at two chains. LifeWay Christian Stores' emailing includes a coupon for 33% off one regularly priced item for its Customer Appreciation Event, which runs June 10-14. Berean Christian Stores is knocking 50% off all Father's Day greeting cards for in-store purchases made June 4.

The LifeWay promotion also include a pre-buy special on the Soul Surfer DVD, releasing Aug. 2. Purchases before then—the movie is reduced from $29.99 to $17.99—will receive a free Soul Surfer necklace, value $9.99. Music titles featured include Building 429's Listen to the Sound, reduced from $9.99 to $7.99, and Newsong's One True God (from $13.99 to $9.99).

Mardel Christian & Education reduces by 25% the price of all sculptures from Lighthouse Christian products. They range from Large Eagle, at $131.24, to Eagle, Moments of Faith and Jesus, the Good Shepherd, each for $27.74.

A second promotion from the chain offers 50% off select books and Bibles. Among them: Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst ($7.49) and Anne Voskamp's One Thousand Gifts ($8.49).Bibles include Manual: The Bible for Men (NIV), priced at $29.99.

Christian Book Distributors' Midweek Markdowns include One Thousand Gifts, priced at $8.99, and Francis Chan's Crazy Love, for $8.50. David Platt's Radical Together is offered at 40% off, for $8.99.

Christian retail channel offers for the week of May 23

LifeWay Christian Stores majors on its Memorial Day sale in its two email promotions. Running May 27-June 1, the five-day event is spotlighted with a coupon for 35% off one regularly priced item.

The chain also reminds shoppers of its two-week Bible sale, ending May 28, which offers select Life Application Study Bibles at half price. Other titles reduced include David Platt's Radical Together, down to $9.99 from $14.99, and Lee Strobel's debut novel, The Ambition, cut from $24.99 to $18.74.

CLC Bookcenters offers 60% off CLC Publications titles in a Spring Inventory Clearance Sale on works by authors such as Amy Carmichael and Andrew Murray. The promotion runs through June 10, while stocks last.

Mardel Christian & Education’s featured products are men's accessories. A range of watches and leather wallets is on offer at $16.99 each. A second email from the chain focuses on outreach Bibles. The full text ESV Outreach Bible is available for $1 each when purchased in 20-plus case lots, while the full text NIV Bible costs $1.90 each in the same quantity.
