Strang Communications is rolling out a 30-second TV commercial coast-to-coast this week to spotlight the new book by Texas pastor and author John Hagee, in which he issues a warning on the gathering war against Israel.

Set for release tomorrow with an initial printing of 250,000, Jerusalem Countdown presents detailed information that Hagee has received from high-ranking Israeli government officials regarding a nuclear showdown between Iran and Israel, which he says will have worldwide ramifications.

Strang's largest-ever press run, Jerusalem Countdown is the latest title from the company's FrontLine imprint, which focuses on current events.

The TV ad, created by Affiliated Media Group, will air Jan. 20-22 in Los Angeles; Phoenix; San Antonio; Houston; Chicago; the New York metropolitan area, including New Jersey and Connecticut; Philadelphia; Charlotte, N.C.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and the Miami area, including Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The spots also will air in selected markets during several weekend network morning programs, including CBS This Morning, NBC's Today show and Good Morning America.

In addition to the TV commercial, Hagee was scheduled to appear today on FOXNews' Your World With Neil Cavuto and FOX Radio's The Alan Colmes Show to discuss his book. Hagee also is set to promote Jerusalem Countdown on other general market TV and radio programs this week, including The Jim Bohannon Show and C-SPAN's Book TV this week.

Additionally, Hagee is currently preaching on the subject of the book on his TV program, John Hagee Today, and Jerusalem Countdown is on the latest cover of his JHMagazine publication, which goes out to more than 200,000 supporters.

Kin Millen, sales manager for Noble Marketing, which has been presenting the book for Strang, said he had been surprised how much interest among retailers there was on Hagee's latest book.

“Some stores are buying in deep thinking this is another The Beginning of the End, which was such a big seller for Pastor Hagee,” he said. Published by Nelson Books in 1996, The Beginning of the End sold 730,000 copies and made The New York Times best-seller list.

An ardent supporter of Israel who has visited the country regularly since 1978, Hagee sees Jerusalem Countdown as a wake-up call for Christians to “stand in absolute solidarity” with Israel.

Pastor of 18,000-member Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Hagee has also authored two books for Strang's Charisma House. Written with wife Diana, 2005's What Every Man Wants in a Woman/What Every Woman Wants in a Man has sold almost 180,000 copies. The Seven Secrets, which released in 2004, has sold a total of 152,000 copies in hardcover and paperback.
