Christian-theme apparel company Kerusso has announced it closed out 2005 with significant growth in three key categories: sales, number of employees and facility expansion. Sales for the year were up 52% over 2004, with growth across the board from an expansion in the jewelry and gift categories. Kerusso saw success with its Live for Him wristband project, selling more than 1 million wristbands within six months and raising $250,000 for Compassion International. Licensing agreements were also formed or extended with Women of Faith, Faithgirlz, Max Lucado and upcoming film End of the Spear. Kerusso sold more than 1 million T-shirts last year, placing the company among the top 60 screen-printers in the U.S. as identified by Impressions magazine. The 19-year-old company also expanded its corporate staff by 35% last year, going from 57 to 77, doubling the number in place in 2004. The extra employees and increased productivity created a need for more workspace. The company added 22,000 square feet to its newest warehouse, bringing the total area of the Berryville, Ark., campus to more than 80,000 square feet.
In the last year, media coverage for Kerusso also has risen, with the company's apparel featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, FOXNews's The Big Story With John Gibson, ABC's Good Morning America and World News Tonight |
