ECPA announces Christian Book Award finalists |

The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) has announced the finalists for the 2006 Christian Book Awards. The awards, originally named the Gold Medallions, have been presented to Christian publishers since 1978. This year winners will be selected in six categories, and awards will be presented on July 10 at the International Christian Retail Show in Denver. The finalists are as follows: Bibles: Faith in Action Study Bible, Terry Muck (Zondervan); NIrV Kids' Quest Study Bible, Lightwave and Livingstone Corporation (Zondervan); The Message: Numbered Edition, Eugene H. Peterson (NavPress); The Minister's Bible (Broadman & Holman Publishers); The Reformation Study Bible-English Standard Version, R. C. Sproul, general editor (Ligonier Ministries). Bible Reference & Study: A Profound Weakness: Christians & Kitsch, Betty Spackman (Piquant Editions Ltd.); Dictionary for Theological Interpretation of the Bible, Kevin J. Vanhoozer, general editor (Baker Academic, a division of Baker Publishing Group); Dictionary of the Old Testament: Historical Books, editors: Bill T. Arnold and H.G.M.
