Top Spring Arbor Distributors executives were in Indianapolis at CBA Advance yesterday to announce a major leadership change to clients. Vice president of sales since 1999, Janet McDonald was on hand to introduce her replacement, Dan Sheehan, as she moves to become vice president for Ingram Publisher Services, client acquisition. “Through my experience over the years, I've come to an even greater appreciation and understanding of the important mission served by Christian retailers and publishers,” said Sheehan of his new role. Most recently vice president of national accounts for Ingram Publisher Services Inc., Sheehan added: “I know Spring Arbor is committed to partnering with our customers building strong businesses that, in turn, can support a strong ministry, and I look forward to extending that commitment.” McDonald said she believed that Sheehan's background, experience and “commitment to the Christian marketplace will be immediately recognized.” She would miss the day-to-day interaction with retail customers, she said, but was “enthusiastic about the opportunity to be exposed to the publisher side of the business. “Plus, I'm not going anywhere and feel fortunate that I'll be able to continue to enjoy relationships with the special people in this industry,” McDonald said.
During his time with Ingram, Sheehan has worked extensively with national accounts in the trade, Christian, wholesale club, Internet and higher education channels. A graduate of Brentwood High School, he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in business at Belmont University in Nashville.
