Those who sign up for the program get points toward free books as they read from the summer reading list and then share their thoughts about the books on personal blogs, retail Web sites or social media sites. For every five books read, readers will earn one free book. The three readers who have the most points at the end of the summer will win $50 gift cards to use toward the purchase of books. Everyone with at least one point will be entered to win an Amazon Kindle e-reader. The mix of titles—some new and some older—include Dark Horse from the “Starlight Animal Rescue” series by Dandi Daley Mackall; Arin’s Judgment from “Passages” by Paul McCusker; and Aaaargh! from “TJ and the Time Stumblers” by Bill Myers.
