Robert Spooner Sr. “went home to see Jesus” May 18, his family said. He was 77. Known as “Senior,” Spooner co-founded Robert Spooner Galerie with his wife, Betty, in 1981. “He worked every day of his life,” the family said, and “enjoyed everything with his wife of 56 years, golfing with his son, playing with his grandkids and attending their games and recitals, coaching soccer and baseball, political discussions and chatting with anyone who would listen about the Lord.” Spooner is survived by his wife and son Bob (“Junior”), daughter-in-law Heidi and four grandchildren “along with many wonderful friends who were like family,” the family noted. A Celebration of his life will be held today, May 29, at 1 p.m. at the Legacy Room of Chase Oaks Church, 281 Legacy Drive in Plano, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Living Hope & Healing Foundation, 12870 Hillcrest Rd., Suite H226, Dallas, Texas 75230, with the memo: Robert Spooner. |
