an “untapped market” for faith-based vendors, but his company aims to change
that. Founded by Harry Sneed, the Northeast Oklahoma company creates “sports
parody” shirts that retail for $16.99.

“We take logos or concepts from pro and college teams and turn them into witness wear,” Bonham said. The company has more than 60 designs that reach 23 state markets and anticipates that number to build to more than 100 designs that will increase the company’s reach to 30 state markets. ”We feel like this is an untapped market due to the heightened awareness of faith within the sports world, thanks to popular athletes such as Tim Tebow, Jeremy Lin, Albert Pujols and Trevor Bayne,” said Bonham, director of sales and marketing. “These shirts allow Christian sports lovers to combine their faith and their fandom. The line has some shirts that are geared towards a national audience, but for the most part, we are aiming at various cities, states, regions and so forth.” Boosted by attention on social media, the company has seen its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/KJVApparel, build to more than 19,000 “Likes.” Oklahoma-based Christian retailer Natalie Church is "so excited" about KJV Apparel's sports designs. "I believe that they are going to do wonderful in my stores because the shirts are a wonderful witness," said Natalie Church, CEO of Ruth's Christian Bookstores with five locations in the state. "The designs are a perfect fit for those sports fans that not only love their team, but love their God."
