Wall art and home décor maker Carpentree has entered the women’s accessories category this season with a new line of “Scripture Scarves.”

Retailing for $17.99, each of the eight ready-to-wear scarves features a scripture verse. The I Have Loved scarf with polka dot and patterns design (pictured) includes the verse Jer. 31:3: “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Among the other designs are For I Know—Butterflies and Birds, which features Jer. 29:11, and He Will Give His Angels—Blue Polka Dot With Angel Wings, which bears the verse Ps. 91:11.

Marketing Manager Sherry Morris said the company has created a spring line, with other designs coming this fall. Morris said the women on Carpentree’s creative design team noticed that scripture was always missing on the scarves they were buying, so they decided to fill the need in the marketplace.  

“The team came up with art and then came up with some very fun verses that fit fashion wear and make great gifts, too: 'His banner over me is love'; 'The Lord bless you and keep you'; 'May the presence of the Lord surround you'; and five more,” Morris said. “To help stores envision how to display what for many may be a new category, we provided our reps with several merchandising pictures from Pinterest. You might say that the team saw an empty niche in a popular general market category that became a personal mission: Scripture scarves to give, wear and share!”
