Shields of Strength founder Kenny Vaughan said that his company has donated more than 1 million of the 3 million shields they produced to individuals, U.S. military, churches and ministries, including Athletes in Action. Vaughan said he can relate to the Olympians as he was also an athlete who attempted to win the U.S. Nationals in the water ski long jump competition. Tammie, who was Vaughan's girlfriend at the time and is now his wife, wrote scriptures on his ski equipment, which led him to inscribe verses onto dog tags to wear. Now, Shields of Strength product offerings include
women's jewelry and other accessories such as key chains, head bands and
athletic tape. Learn more about the Beaumont, Texas-based company at ShieldsOfStrength.com |
