East Tennessee's Cedar Springs Christian Stores carries a wide array of Duck Commander-branded products. Now the gift department in the West Knoxville location is adding a women’s fashion line from Missy Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame. Cedar Springs is displaying the new brand in the store’s boutique near other clothing lines rather than with Duck Commander products. “It’s good-quality clothing, modest clothing, supporting Duck Commander,” said Lynn Mathes, visual merchandiser in the West Knoxville store. Available from Southern Fashion House founded by designer Stephanie Carter and based in “the American South,” Missy Robertson’s spring collection consists of approximately 55 pieces, including dresses, sportswear, light cover-ups and mix-and-match tops. “The lowest-priced top we have retails for $88 and then the highest-priced dress went up to $149,” Mathes said of the high-end line. “I felt there was a void in the market for active, busy, working moms who want to look put together without having to put a lot of effort into it while staying modest and age appropriate,” Robertson said. “These styles are reflective of the fun, new fashions that can always be found in the junior section of department stores. However, the silhouettes in the collection are intended to flatter women of all ages, shapes and sizes.” Robertson is the wife of Duck Dynasty’s Jase Robertson. With her schedule demanding numerous public appearances, she looked to fill a void in the fashion industry by helping to create a stylish yet comfortable and age-appropriate clothing line. The line mixes vibrant colors and patterns with slightly longer hemlines, varying sleeve options and shapes, resulting in fashion that is figure flattering, age appropriate and contemporary. The collection features interesting patterns and vibrant colors of bright jades, teals and turquoise mixed with touches of coral and balanced with neutrals. Textures like crochet and embroidery bring detail, and dress-up knits offer stretch and comfort.
