DaySpring has announced the addition of Mark McKane as the new senior vice president of retail for the Siloam Springs, Arkansas-based Christian card and gift company. “I am pleased that an executive of Mark’s extensive experience and background has chosen to join our DaySpring team,” said James Barnett, president of DaySpring. “Mark brings both business acumen and a heart for people that I believe will contribute significantly to DaySpring’s future success.” McKane looks forward to new opportunities with DaySpring. “I believe that God has provided me with opportunities to build a unique business perspective,” he said. “Combining extensive time working for retail as a merchant and with retailers as their supplier, I bring empathy for the needs of our partners and a deep belief that success will come if we honor God in all that we do.” Prior to joining DaySpring, McKane spent 14 years at Electronic Arts (EA), a leading global interactive entertainment/gaming software company in Redwood City, California. In his most recent role at EA as vice president of retail marketing and planning, he led a cross-functional team that included retail marketing and category management responsibilities. For five of those years, he was vice president of North American sales. “Mark understands developing and maintaining strong relationships with key retailers,” Barnett said. “His sales and customer service teams have received many awards, and Mark is recognized for his strengths in short- and long-term strategic planning, sales growth results and organizational leadership.” “From the moment I walked into the DaySpring lobby,” McKane said, “I sensed a strong creative environment that combines a passion for faith-based products while managing a business model that can sustain this passion for years to come. I sense that this is a group of people that truly understand that their work and message is transforming lives.” Mark received his B.S. degree in business management from East Central University in Oklahoma. He and his family lived in Bentonville, Arkansas, for 20 years before moving to California. |
