Catholic author Michael Dubruiel dies |

Catholic author and speaker Michael Dubruiel collapsed and died Feb. 3 while exercising at a local gym in Birmingham, Ala. He was 50. Dubruiel recently moved to Birmingham to become the director of the Office of the New Evangelization and Stewardship for the Diocese of Birmingham. Prior to that position, he was an acquisitions editor for Our Sunday Visitor for nine years. Dubruiel wrote several books, including The Church's Most Powerful Novenas and How to Get More Out of the Mass (both Our Sunday Visitor) A funeral Mass was held Feb. 9 at The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine in St. Augustine, Fla. |
