The United Methodist Publishing House (UMPH) has named Audrey Kidd as chief operating officer, effective March 16. Kidd-who has more than 30 years of management experience in a wide range of fields, including fine arts, broadcasting, healthcare and research as well as selling books and publishing--served most recently as vice president of Bible Group Marketing for Thomas Nelson. Prior to joining Nelson in 2007, Kidd was vice president of marketing and merchandising for Ingram Book Group, managing several departments, including creative services, corporate marketing, retail merchandising and inventory management services as well as library collection development. UMPH President Neil Alexander said "Kidd brings ... a breadth of industry knowledge, a strong track record of experience and a gift for uniting others in innovative work. These attributes will significantly enrich UMPH's ability to break new ground in delivering resources that make a positive difference for people and their churches." |
