Christian publishing industry veterans Woodley Auguste and Debbie Marrie have been named vice president of marketing and vice president of product development, respectively, for Charisma Media’s Book Group, Charisma House, effective Dec. 1. As vice president of marketing, Auguste will provide marketing and publicity strategy leadership and spearhead new marketing projects for Charisma House’s five core imprints within the print and digital space. Marrie, in her role of vice president of product development, will provide leadership, head day-to-day operations of book group acquisitions, product creation and meet divisional objectives of books and digital content for Charisma House, FrontLine, Realms, Siloam, Passio and co-publisher Creation House. “Debbie Marrie and Woodley Auguste have shown exemplary leadership in their respective departments,” said Tessie DeVore, executive vice president of Charisma House Book Group. “Each of these promotions is historic. Within the Christian publishing industry it is a rarity for women or minorities to serve within an executive capacity, but it has always been Charisma House’s vision to demonstrate diversity in leadership akin to the body of Christ.” Auguste, a 12-year employee of Charisma House, was formerly the executive director of marketing and publicity and prior to that, senior publicist. “I am excited about the new challenges and opportunities and feel it is an honor to serve in this capacity,” said Auguste. “Charisma House is a pacesetter of Spirit-inspired resources that are gospel centered and that glorify God.” Marrie, a 13-year employee of Charisma House, was formerly the executive director of product development for the company’s book group. “I couldn’t think of a better place to use my talents in service to God,” Marrie said. “It's truly an honor to work for a company whose goal is to inspire passionate believers to radically change their world. I look forward to creating resources that will empower Christians around the world and take them deeper in their relationship with God.” Charisma House has published several New York Times best-selling books, including the million copy selling books, The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn, Fasting by Jentezen Franklin, The Seven Pillars of Health by Don Colbert, MD, 23 Minutes in Hell by Bill Wiese as well as numerous CBA, Publishers Weekly and USA Today best-sellers. |
