The obituary notes that “the City of Duluth lost an incredible father, husband and friend. William Goodyear left footprints on the hearts of those who knew him. He will be dearly missed.” He is survived by his wife and business partner, Fern Goodyear, and their three children, Alexandria (Lulu), Gabriella and Gretchen. A memorial service was scheduled for Jan. 19 in
