Zondervan has announced the promotion of Tom Dean to vice president of marketing for the nonfiction trade team. Dean began his career with Zondervan in 2001 and has held various positions during his tenure. Originally hired to be the associate publisher for the Inspirio gift imprint, Dean has worked with the nonfiction trade team for the past six years. “This is an exciting time for Zondervan nonfiction, and Tom’s elevated role within the company will greatly impact our position to serve our mission and authors going forward,” said David Morris, vice president and publisher of the Zondervan nonfiction trade team. Dean will report directly to Morris in his new role and will be responsible for marketing vision and strategy as well as managing the marketing personnel and assisting the team in acquisitions. Dean has worked with many of Zondervan’s best-selling authors, including Rick Warren, Lee Strobel, Philip Yancey, Ann Voskamp and Jim Cymbala. He has led a number of successful publishing and marketing campaigns and has played a key role in developing new voices for Zondervan. Last year, Dean directed the marketing campaign for the New York Times best-selling book Fight by Craig Groeschel. |
