B&H Publishing Group announced Friday the hiring of Katy Boatman as its marketing strategist for women’s trade books. She begins her new role this month. Boatman will oversee marketing for key B&H Publishing trade book authors such as Lauren Chandler, Annie Downs, Sophie Hudson and Priscilla Shirer. In addition, she will be an integral part of the marketing campaign for She Reads Truth resources. Jennifer Lyell, B&H trade book publisher, commented on Boatman's hiring. “The Women's Books line is experiencing a season of incredible favor, opportunity and growth,” Lyell said. “We are so thankful for the authors with whom we get to partner and know that strategic and thoughtful marketing is crucial to maximum kingdom impact of those messages. I could not be more thrilled that Katy is joining our team to lead the marketing efforts around these titles and brands. We believe she is the best in the business and look forward with anticipation to all the Lord is going to do through her work.” A rhetoric major from Georgia College, Boatman has served in marketing and sales roles at HarperCollins Christian Publishing since 2009. In the last three years, she helped lead marketing campaigns for Nelson Books, including many New York Times best-sellers such as Jesus Is ____ by Judah Smith, Jesus > Religion by Jefferson Bethke, The Best Yes by Lysa TerKeurst and Happy Wives Club by Fawn Weaver. Boatman also led the marketing for Jen Hatmaker’s For the Love, a current New York Times best-seller. Dave Schroeder, vice president of marketing for B&H, was “thrilled” with the new hire. “Katy is an exemplary marketer and strategic thinker,” Schroeder said. “She brings energy, integrity and experience to the B&H marketing team. Most of all, Katy is a wonderful person, and we are blessed to have someone of her talent and passion at B&H.” Boatman said she was proud to join the B&H team. "I am honored to join the B&H team and work with an incredible group of talented authors,” she said. “I look forward to partnering with these women to get life-changing content into the hands of readers." |
