Regular Baptist Press (RBP) announced the appointment of Dr. John F. Klem to the position of director. Klem's responsibilities will include providing oversight and direction for the press and networking for strategic ministry growth.

RBP described Klem’s approach as a “natural fit” with the publisher’s mission statement: “To glorify God by providing church educational resources that are true to God’s Word and encourage maturity in Christ.”

John Greening, national representative of Regular Baptist Churches, commented on the hire.

“John is a man who believes deeply that the church is God’s platform for teaching the Word of God,” Greening said. “That belief translates into a robust vision to ‘resource’ the church with innovative tools to effectively and fully teach the Bible to all ages.”

Klem comes to RBP with a rich background of pastoral and academic ministry experience. He has held professorships and administrative positions at Virginia Beach Theological Seminary, Northland International University, Piedmont International University and Clearwater Christian College. He has also served as pastor at churches in Wawarsing, New York; West Chester, Pennsylvania; and Moorhead, Minnesota. Klem received his training at Lancaster Bible College (B.S.), Baptist Bible Seminary (M.Div., Th.M.) and Central Baptist Theological Seminary (Th.D.). He is the author of Selah Moments: Meditations on Scripture Applied to Life and numerous published articles.

Klem sees significant opportunity ahead for RBP.

“The GARBC (General Association of Regular Baptist Churches) and its publishing arm, RBP, have been known for their faithful commitment to God’s Word, to Christ and to the church,” he said. “Now, at a time when we’re being pressed from a number of different avenues, we have an opportunity to raise that flag even higher, rally around it and develop a philosophy that emphasizes strong churches and equips them for the future.”
