AlliWorthington-webZondervan announced today a new partnership with Alli Worthington, strategist, business coach, consultant and co-founder of BlissDom and BlissDom Canada, which were the largest international small business conferences for women in the world.

The working title of the first book in the two-book partnership is Edit Your Life, which will launch in October 2015.

Absolutely Gospel songwriter killed in July 4th home invasion Print Email

DonaldFrazier-webIn the early morning hours of July 4th, Dr. Donald Frazier was tragically shot and killed in a home invasion. Dr. Frazier was a renowned minister, counselor, writer and Gospel music musician.

With 23 BMI songs to his writing credit, Frazier was also the author of Greek Nuggets From the Gospel Gold Mine and The Prodigal Spouse (both from Tate Publishing). He had also served as the president of AMI Kingsway Music Publishing (BMI).

Idleman’s call to Christians to stop simply being fans, but rather become true followers of Jesus has been met with an online movement of more than 100,000 Christians deepening their relationship with God.

IVP-tweetableInterVarsity Press (IVP) has announced the release of its first e-book featuring “tweetable” functionality, wherein a user can quickly tweet out preselected portions of a book with minimal effort, sharing content and ideas with followers.

“We often think of reading as a relatively solitary experience, but in reality—and maybe even increasingly so—it’s fundamentally social,” said David Zimmerman, associate editor at IVP. “People want to know what their friends are reading; they want to process what they’re reading with their friends. This isn’t just speculation; it’s evident in the way books are bought, the way books are publicized and in the rise of book reviewing mechanisms like Goodreads. Books are meant to be shared. With these ‘tweetables,’ we’re shortening the path for people to do so.”

“It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly 20 years since our first event,” said CMN President Alan Napleton. “But these events are always a lot of fun and we’re very excited about returning the show to Chicago.”

“That’s going to give us more room to bring product down,” said Anthony Burdette of P. Graham Dunn. “We find that having product in front of our customers is the best way to sell it, so the more we can get in front of them, the better we can get in the stores and share it with all their customers.”

Hosted by Munce Group and held Saturday, July 12, in conjunction with the July 8-15 Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, CPE is open to all Christian retailers.

Retailers are encouraged to visit the mart for gifts, but to visit CPE for access to other vendors in the Christian market. The event will be held in one room and is free of charge.
