InterVarsity Press (IVP) will soon be offering readers a chance to “read” while on the move with new digital offerings. IVP will be releasing 14 books in audio format from February through September 2015.

“In our busy and increasingly digital world, this is a new opportunity to get our books into the hands and, more specifically, the ears of our readers,” said Jeff Crosby, IVP’s associate publisher. “This is a new and convenient way for our established readers to enjoy old favorites and new releases.”

Back to Basics Christian Bookstore in the St. Louis area has found it challenging to draw store traffic in the wake of the Michael Brown case in nearby Ferguson, Missouri.

Cynthia Davis told her fellow retailers on Facebook that she invited her family to park in the front of the store on Thanksgiving.

“It felt good to see the parking lot full,” Davis said ahead of Black Friday.

Christian retailers have reported an increase in sales for Black Friday.

Harold Herring of Christian Soldier Bookstore in Goldsboro, North Carolina, said he was “bragging on God” when he reported his store’s sales.

American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) introduced a new holiday outreach initiative, Stories for Christmas 2014, at the group’s annual conference in September in St. Louis.

Stories for Christmas is helping provide “hope-giving reading material” for men and women behind bars through Christian Library International, according to an ACFW statement.

W Publishing Group announced today the hiring of Lori Cloud as vice president of marketing. Recently serving as an executive director of client services for G7 Entertainment Marketing, Cloud brings with her a wealth of experience in a variety of marketing areas.

Integrity Music recording artist Danilo Montero received a Latin GRAMMY Award for Best Christian Album for La Carta Perfecta (The Perfect Letter) at the 15th Annual Latin GRAMMYs held recently at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.

Available through Provident Distribution, the 2013 album debuted at No. 10 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart and receiving nominations for a Gospel Music Association Dove Award and Premio Arpa (Harp Award) among other accolades.
