DaySpring's ‘Fireproof' cards are hot DaySpring's line of greeting cards based on the hit movie Fireproof, starring Kirk Cameron, is seeing success at Christian retail. The "Fireproof" cards line has sold through to DaySpring retailers at a rate of 75% with the total units sold at retail since January at 323, 832. The card, pictured, has sold through at retail 99% in two-and-a-half months. The line's 28 cards-sold for $1.50 each-are not designed for any specific occasion, but aim to meet three consumer needs based on the movie's themes: "Inspire a Marriage, Inspire a Friend and Inspire a Legacy." "DaySpring is about our relationship with God and each other, so it makes perfect sense for DaySpring to partner with this license as we provide tools of encouragement for marriages," said Brenda Turner, director of communications. The cards will move from an outpost display to permanent space in some retail chains and in other stores will be sold only through the summer. The card company has also partnered with Provident Label Group for an offer that encourages consumers to "buy a CD from a Fireproof artist and get a DaySpring ‘Fireproof' card for free." DaySpring has plans for other "Fireproof" products, including boxed cards.
