Harvest House gift books honored by tea magazine
The Tea House Times Seal of Approval has been awarded to three gift books from Harvest House Publishers: An Invitation to Tea by Emilie Barnes and artist Sandy Lynam Clough; Tea With a Twist by Lisa Boalt Richardson with photography by Lauren Rubinstein; and Take a Little Time for Tea by Kathy Hatch. The Tea House Times credited the publisher for consistently producing "excellent quality books." 

"What a surprise and what a blessing," said best-selling author Emilie Barnes. "I am just so thankful and honored that people's hearts are touched by our books, and I am as equally thankful to The Tea House Times for this award and to Harvest House for being such a wonderful partner and extension of my family for all these years."

Clough sees the book An Invitation to Tea as "an invitation to friendship," she said. "My hope is that my art will help inspire those who pick up this book to experience the beauty of teatime with friends."

In 2008, Christmas Teas of Comfort and Joy, another Barnes title, with artist Susan Rios, received a Tea House Times Seal of Approval Award. The award is given to qualified businesses whose products are approved by The Tea House Times staff, after testing and review.

The Tea House Times is a bimonthly publication "Preserving the Traditions of Afternoon Tea."
