Slingshot Publishing featured on Virtual Christmas Showcase Slingshot Publishing is offering its specials to Christian retailers in the Virtual Christmas Showcase, an online exhibition and training event. More than 20 suppliers have so far signed on for the Virtual Christmas Showcase-running Sept. 30-Nov. 30-hosted by Christian Retailing magazine and focused on the holiday season. In addition to highlighting products and specials, the online event also includes interviews, new release spotlights and other offers. To date, the virtual show has drawn nearly 1,400 visitors from 51 countries. Slingshot Publishing offers a wide variety of products, including its laptop skin decals for students and other computer users, tumblers for commuters wanting coffee on the go, and high-gloss posters, some featuring favorite Christian artists for music fans. Magnets, vinyl decals, stickers and buttons along with The Bible Bookcase puzzle-like game round out the products featured in the Virtual Christmas Showcase. Aside from taking in the specials and discounts, viewers of the virtual tour can participate in a Max Lucado contest. Answer correctly questions in a brief quiz derived from the Virtual Christmas Showcase and be entered to win a prize pack with six autographed copies of Lucado's book Fearless and a personalized voicemail message from the author for your store. Among other features in the showcase, Christian Retailing Editor Andy Butcher speaks with Stephen Skelton, author of A Christmas Carol: Special Edition (Standard Publishing). Find out the two reasons Skelton says Christian retailers have a bigger opportunity this year to help promote the true meaning of Christmas. Assistant Editor DeWayne Hamby also talks with music legend Bill Gaither about his new holiday project, A Christmas Homecoming. The virtual tour also includes a discussion with Crossway Executive Vice President for Sales and Marketing Geoff Dennis on the company's "Share the Good News of Christmas" program, a campaign to see 1 million copies of the Christmas-edition English Standard Version Outreach New Testament delivered to homes across the country via Christian retailers.
