Special communionware assists overseas market

Health concerns prompted new communion supplies being introduced to international buyers last month at the Christian Trade Association International (CTAI) convention in Atlanta, last month, by Artistic Manufacturing.

The company distributes products created by Purity Solutions intended to alleviate fears that germs can be spread when churchgoers share communion. Among the items were a host dispenser that enables wafers to be distributed without being touched by the officiating ministers and individually wrapped, alcohol-free, wine-infused wafers.

Artistic customer rep Linda Danielson said that overseas sales accounted for up to a third of the company's business and was a growing area. Other new items at the CTAI event included a hand sanitizer dispenser featuring a silver-tone or brass-tone cross emblem.
