Michael W. Smith recently performed with the Jonas Brothers, according to the Smith's label, Reunion Records. Smith sang his 1991 hit "Place in This World" with the pop sensation trio-all committed Christians-during a sold-out show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Jan. 4. The group's name comes from the three sons of Kevin Jonas, a former Assemblies of God pastor who is one of their managers. Smith also performed another song with Steven Curtis Chapman, Phil Vassar and Vince Gill. "A lot of the people we'll bring up tonight are idols of ours," Nick Jonas told the crowd. Other performers during the show included Jordin Sparks, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Amy Grant, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who introduced the Jonas Brothers. |
