- GRAMMY Award-winning artist Israel Houghton will appear at the 2009 Heroes Red, White & Blue Inaugural Ball held at the Warner Theatre in Washington tomorrow, Jan. 20.
-
- The event will be executive-produced by GRAMMY-winning Nile Rodgers and hosted by Tiki Barber, sports broadcaster and former New York Giants running back.
-
- Houghton will perform songs from his upcoming The Power of One (Integrity Music/Columbia Records/Provident-Integrity Distribution), his first solo studio offering after several New Breed live concert projects.
- The performers at the ball include Josh Groban, Anita Baker, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Robert Randolph and Donnie McClurkin. Billed as “Legends Past, Present and Future,” the concert brings together multi-generational music icons to honor wounded servicemen and women recently returned from Iraq and Afghanistan, their families, active-duty personnel serving overseas, military leaders and other guests. The event will benefit the USO and TAPS, and will be broadcast to military bases via the Pentagon Channel.
