Rex Russell, best-selling author of What the Bible Says About Healthy Living (Regal Books/Gospel Light, 1996) and a board-certified invasive radiologist, died Jan. 29. He was 68. What the Bible Says About Healthy Living was considered a landmark book that many credited as the genesis for the biblical eating movement. "God used Dr. Russell to deliver a message that transformed the health and lives of thousands of people," said Jordan Rubin, who wrote the New York Times best-seller The Maker's Diet (Siloam). Bill Greig III, president of Gospel Light, added that Russell "was a very special man with a unique assignment from his Lord-to communicate three simple principles from the Bible that can revolutionize every person's health. ... His book changed my life and health 12 years ago." |
