Several prominent evangelical leaders will gather in Washington, D.C., tomorrow, March 31, to issue a call for action on immigration reform this year as well as spotlight a new InterVarsity Press book about a Christian response to the immigration debate.

Released in January, Welcoming the Stranger: Justice, Compassion and Truth in the Immigration Debate was co-authored by World Relief staffers Matthew Soerens and Jenny Hwang.

Soerens and Hwang will be joined by National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) President Leith Anderson, World Relief Senior Vice President Stephan Bauman and the Rev. Derrick Harkins of the historic Nineteenth Street Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. World Relief is the humanitarian arm of the NAE.
