- The Gospel Music Association (GMA) has announced additional artists for its GMA Music Week 2009, to be held April 18-22 in Nashville.
- Amy Grant, Israel Houghton, Natalie Grant, TobyMac, Mandisa and Charlie Peacock, along with Barbara Mandrell and Rush of Fools were among the artists added.
- Artists previously announced include Meredith Andrews, BarlowGirl, Francesca Battistelli, Diamond Rio, Group 1 Crew, Brandon Heath, Jars of Clay, Bart Millard, Point of Grace, Remedy Drive and Mark Schultz.

- Speakers for the week include Louie Giglio, authors Gabe Lyons (unChristian, Baker Books/Baker Publishing Group) and William P. Young (The Shack, Windblown Media/Hachette Book Group USA), along with financial experts Michael Q. Pink and Bethany and Scott Palmer.

- Some of the week’s highlights are the Saturday night Indie Artist Showcase with hands-on instruction from live music producer Tom Jackson and artist Rush of Fools, and the Sunday Songwriter Showcase and Worship, an annual celebration of the year’s best songs performed in an acoustic setting by the songwriters. Hosted by Natalie Grant and Matthew West, the Sunday Songwriter Showcase is sponsored by BMI and Compassion International.
