When Mary Nielsen and Kathy Williams began to develop design concepts for a new line of inspirational art, it was with one purpose in mind, to use their talents as a means of "Spreading God's Word Through Art." Now 2 Friend's Design has created 16 original designs that are featured on a variety of products, from Giclée fine art gallery-wrapped canvas wall prints and table-sized photographic art produced on a special metallic photographic paper to journals, note pads, dry-erase calendars, and magnets and bookmarks, all as a part of their initial line. "We wanted to feature our designs on products offering a variety of price points," said Nielsen, president of the company. "Our goal was to create unique designs that would complement the lifestyle and interests of today's consumer, while challenging them to look deeper within their heart." Using state-of-the-art photographic printing methods for the canvas-wrapped prints, each original design is transferred to genuine museum-quality canvas, then stretched and wrapped around a solid wood frame using the traditional handcrafted method of assembling each piece for a classic appeal with a fresh, updated look. The wall art retails from $119.95 up to $199.95, while note cards with envelopes are $3.35 each, notepads $4.95-$6.95 and journals $9.95-$24.95. Read more in the May 4 issue of Christian Retailing. |
