DaySpring honored with ‘LOUIE’ Awards |

DaySpring Cards recently won four trophies during the 21st annual International Greeting Card Awards competition, known as the "LOUIE" Awards. A subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, DaySpring was the second runner up for Card of the Year for "Last Thing You Need," which won the Get Well/Feel Better card (below $3) category. DaySpring's "Meaning of Snowflake" was honored in the Superbly Stated (below $3) category, while "Stronger Closer" won the Friendship Encouragement/General (below $3) category. Additionally, "True Sweetness" won the Birthday/General (below $3) category. "Our 10 nominations this year were the most finalists we have ever had, and winning four awards is a record for our company," said Mike Markovich, DaySpring's vice president of creative. "Our vision is to provide messages of hope and encouragement for people throughout the world. ... It is a real blessing for us to have our industry recognize the work of our talented staff." Presented during a ceremony at the National Stationery Show May 18 in New York City, the awards--which recognizes creative excellence in the industry--drew more than 800 entries in 58 categories from publishing companies worldwide.
