Television evangelist and author Benny Hinn's first major release in several years documents his unique perspective of Middle Eastern world affairs.

To be published in August by FrontLine, part of the Strang Book Group, Blood in the Sand centers on the cultural war between Muslims and Jews for control of Israel and how it affects the rest of the world.

"I have spent all of my adult life as a student of prophecy, and I believe these recent developments in Israel and across the Middle East are signaling a hot, accelerated and unprecedented prophetic season that will quickly change the course of history," Hinn writes in the book's introduction.

Hinn's perspective on the conflict is unique-born in Jaffa, Israel, to parents of Armenian, Greek and Lebanese descent, he has traveled extensively to the area through the years to meet with Jewish and Arab leaders.

Although more issue-oriented than autobiographical, the book features a 30-page photo section highlighting the author's childhood and Middle East visits.

Lucy Diaz Kurz, vice president of marketing for Strang Book Group, said the book offers an "insider's perspective," as Hinn is one of "the few individuals who's evangelical and can provide this level of insight."
