Joe Gibbs-three-time Super Bowl-winning coach of the Washington Redskins, NFL Hall of Fame member and NASCAR championship team owner-is set to release Game Plan for Life (Tyndale House Publishers) on July 21, while on a book and media tour in New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Indiana and Washington, D.C. "Game Plan for Life is a great guide to successful living," said Tony Dungy, Super Bowl-winning former head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, who also wrote the foreword for this book. "Joe Gibbs has always been driven, and unwilling to settle for second best. Whatever challenges he's undertaken, he has always delivered championship results. Once again, he's done it at a Super Bowl level." Tyndale, which had great success with the launch of Dungy's book Quiet Strength, hopes for another tour like Dungy's, whose book became a No. 1 New York Times best-seller. "Coach Gibbs is such a highly respected figure in the sports world," said Carol Traver, senior acquisitions editor for Tyndale House Publishers. "This really is his legacy book. He has achieved so much in his life-both personally and professionally. I think it's a great testament to his character that his greatest goal now is to help others do the same." For the book, Gibbs drafted a team of 11 experts to address hot-button issues men face, focusing on what the Bible says about these difficult issues. Game Plan for Life also shares Gibbs' own story, struggles and triumphs. On the tour, Gibbs will take part in the book signings and events, along with multiple national, regional and local media appearances. Among them is an appearance at Joe Gibbs Racing in Huntersville, N.C., and a LifeWay store in Pineville, N.C. For more information, see www.gameplanforlife.com/events.
