Still riding high from the success of its ESV Study Bible, Crossway is offering a 55% "ECPA Book of the Year" special to retailers ordering the study Bible featuring the English Standard Version (ESV) translation at the Virtual Christian Retailing Show. Hosted by Christian Retailing magazine, the Web-based event involves 24 exhibitors that took part in the International Christian Retail Show in Denver, last week, presenting products and extending some special offers to buyers. Within the first couple of days, the virtual show had more than 700 visits since it was launched earlier this week. Besides the ESV Study Bible, Crossway Executive Vice President for Sales and Marketing Geoff Dennis also spotlighted the Aug. 31 release of the Oswald Chambers Devotional Bible with ESV text and the ESV Christmas Outreach New Testament--a Christian retail exclusive that is part of the company's "Share the Good News of Christmas" program, which aims to see more than a million evangelistic invitations delivered to homes this holiday season. Crossway has produced special gift bags containing a white-cover Christmas edition of the ESV New Testament, a customizable invitation to a local church Christmas event and a coupon that provides free access to the online edition of the ESV for a month. Additionally, Dennis spotlighted the recent release of Religion Saves: And Nine Other Misconceptions by Mark Driscoll, The Pilgrim's Progress: From This World to That Which Is to Come (Sept. 30) and R.C. Sproul's commentary on Romans (Oct. 31). Running through Aug. 31, the virtual tour will also feature Webinar training for stores, with presentations so far scheduled by Carpentree on "Successful Art and Gift Sales" (Aug. 4, 2 p.m. EST) and Kerusso on "Keys to Apparel Sale Success" (Aug. 18, 11 a.m. EST). The training sessions will be recorded for subsequent viewing at the site, which will also host author and artist release parties. There is also a link to a new social networking forum through which retailers and suppliers can connect for fellowship, encouragement and business. Further virtual shows will follow, spotlighting seasonal and other special-focus selling opportunities. Click here to access the information 24/7 at the Virtual Christian Retailing Show Web site. |
