Rose Publishing's specials to Christian bookstores are being spotlighted in the Virtual Christian Retailing Show. The Web-based event--hosted by Christian Retailing magazine--features 25 exhibitors, presenting products and extending some special offers to buyers. The virtual show has attracted more than 4,000 visits from 61 countries since it was launched July 20. Based in Torrance, Calif., and founded in 1991, Rose Publishing publishes Scripture reference materials, including Bible charts, maps and timelines that are sold in more than 60 countries, company officials said. Rose Publishing is offering retailers a 50% discount and free freight when ordering its 19 new products. Other specials include a free Rose Book of Bible Charts, Volume 2 with $299 order and two free Rose Bible Basics books with $499 order. Retailers will want to tune into the Music Still Matters Webinar, scheduled for Sept. 10 at 2 p.m., and hosted by EMI CMG Distribution. Presenters Gunnar Simonsen of Christian Supply Centers and Les Coughran of EMI CMG will offer insights on why music is still important in the Christian retail product mix, how EMI CMG can help grow a store's music category and how to leverage the Internet and social media to benefit your store. The Virtual Album Release Session was also recently launched as part of the virtual show, featuring new songs from top artists. Phil Stacey, an American Idol finalist, discusses Into the Light (Reunion Records/Provident-Integrity Distribution), while Phillips, Craig & Dean talk about Fearless (INO Records/Provident-Integrity). In addition, the Virtual Christmas Showcase--featuring suppliers' holiday specials and promotions--is scheduled to run Sept. 30-Nov. 16. There is also a link to a new social networking forum through which retailers and suppliers can connect for fellowship, encouragement and business.
