A documentary about cross-carrying evangelist Arthur Blessitt is coming to Christian retail stores Nov. 10. Made by Gener8Xion Entertainment, affiliated with Trinity Broadcasting Network and the company responsible for The Omega Code and One Night With the King, The Cross will be released on DVD in time for the Easter season, said company President Rich Cook. It will have additional content not available in the version to be available online direct to consumers from November, he added. The film opened in March in more than 200 theaters across the country and has had a modest showing. More recently it has been screened in churches through an arrangement with Outreach Inc., which provides kits for congregations wanting to use the film evangelistically. The Cross poster bears the image of a book about Blessitt with the same title published by Authentic Media. Since he first walked with a 12-foot cross in 1969, Blessitt has taken it around the world, covering almost 40,000 miles. |
