Don Piper's 90 Minutes in Heaven (Revell/Baker Publishing Group) has been on the New York Times Paperback Nonfiction best-seller list more than three years, having achieved the landmark anniversary on the Oct. 23 list. The book about Piper being brought back to life after dying and going to heaven has spent 114 weeks at or above No. 10 in the New York Times' best-seller list as well as other best-seller charts, Baker officials said. There are more than 4.5 million copies of 90 Minutes in Heaven in trade paper, Spanish, hardcover, audio and large-print editions. New title 90 Minutes in Heaven: Seeing Life's Troubles in a Whole New Light was recently released as a seven-week video Bible-study series just released by Worthy Resources, part of Worthy Media. "Don's story was capable of so much more than he or we had anticipated," Dwight Baker, president of Baker Publishing Group, wrote in the foreword to the new hardcover edition. "Don speaks to thousands and thousands each year, and at the current pace of book sales, our cautious first-printing quantity (of 8,000 copies) would be depleted in merely two days. 90 Minutes in Heaven is widely embraced by people who face personal suffering." |
