Former Alaskan Governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will embark on a book tour this month--hitting several Barnes & Noble stores across the country--to promote her highly anticipated memoir, Going Rogue: An American Life (HarperCollins/Zondervan). Palin will begin the tour at a Barnes & Noble store in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Nov. 18, followed by stops at the chain's locations in Roanoke, Va. (Nov. 22); Orlando, Fla., and The Villages, Fla. (Nov. 24); Sioux City, Iowa, and Sioux Falls, S.D. (Dec. 6); and Bloomington, Minn. (Dec. 7). The book, which is expected to chronicle the candidate's political background, including her vice presidential bid, will have a first printing of 1.5 million copies. Palin worked with ghostwriter Lynne Vincent, co-writer of Same Kind of Different As Me (Thomas Nelson). Going Rogue, which has been a key title in the Amazon.com, Walmart.com and Target.com book-pricing war, will be released Nov. 17 with a retail price of $28.99. |
