Night At The Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian --which received positive reviews from Christian movie Web sites--was released this week by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and is being distributed to Christian retail by Word Distribution. Released Dec. 1, the comedy hit sequel to Night at the Museum starring Ben Stiller, Amy Adams and Robin Williams generated $177 million in 4,101 theaters nationwide since its May 22 release, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. Rated PG for brief foul language, the film has some positive moral themes, according to Christian film critics. MovieGuide magazine praised the movie as "a charming, creative family adventure sprinkled with humor, romance, excitement and history." The single-disc DVD--which features an hour of extras, including commentary by cast and crew, featurettes, six deleted scenes with an alternate ending and a gag reel--retails for $29.98. |
