Worthy Media has announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Big Idea for direct-to-church sales of the first VeggieTales DVD educational system.

The 30-volume VeggieTales DVD Library and Teaching System--which features 28 episodes of the popular video series, free bonus DVDs of Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie and The Ultimate Silly Song Countdown as well as 120 pages of teaching resources--will be distributed through Worthy Media's video-based curriculum development and marketing company, Worthy Resources, which creates and distributes resources for use by churches and small groups.

"Millions of parents, teachers and children's pastors trust Big Idea to consistently deliver high-quality and engaging VeggieTales products," said Jeana Ledbetter, director of development for Worthy Resources. "As the Christian community's best-selling children's series, VeggieTales has already sold more than 72 million videos, books and CDs combined."

Big Idea Director of Licensing Brian Mitchell added: "This is the first time we have ever released 30 VeggieTales DVDs with a teaching system designed exclusively for churches. We see this as a practical and helpful way to meet the unique needs churches and other children's ministries have and are pleased to offer it to them at a significant discount off the retail value. In doing so, Worthy Media is the ideal partner as we expand and deepen our relationships with churches across America."
