financial columnist Michelle Singletary's guide to money is the hottest recent release, according to the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA).

Singletary's Zondervan title, The Power to Prosper, subtitled "21 Days to Financial Freedom," entered the publisher group's top-seller list at No. 4. The April chart is based on sales tracked at Christian stores through the four weeks ending March 20.

Also debuting in the top 10, at No. 10, is Francine Rivers' new novel, Her Mother's Hope (Tyndale House Publishers). The rest are: 1. Jesus Calling by Sarah Young (Thomas Nelson), 2. The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman (Northfield Publishing/Moody Publishers), 3. Crazy Love by Francis Chan (David C. Cook), 5. So Long, Insecurity by Beth Moore (Tyndale House Publishers), 6. The Love Dare by Stephen & Alex Kendrick (B&H Books/B&H Publishing Group), 7. Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore (Thomas Nelson), 8. Forgotten God by Francis Chan (David C. Cook) and 9. 3:16 by Max Lucado (Thomas Nelson).

Although it dropped from No. 11 last month to No. 15 this month on the Christian retail sales list, William P. Young's The Shack remained elsewhere, taking the No. 4 spot in the ECPA's new multi-channel list that includes Christian, online and other sales. Jesus Calling holds first place, followed by Fearless and Emerson Eggerichs' Love & Respect (Thomas Nelson).

The top 10 Bibles for April are: 1. Outreach New Testament, ESV (Crossway), 2. Text Bible, NKJV (Thomas Nelson), 3. Gift and Award Bible, KJV, black leatherflex (Thomas Nelson), 4. NIV Outreach Bible (Biblica/Authentic Media), 5. NIV Adventure Bible, hardcover (Zondervan), 6. Gift and Award Bible, KJV, red leatherflex (Thomas Nelson), 7. ESV Christmas Outreach New Testament (Crossway), 8. Celebrate Recovery Bible, softcover (Zondervan), 9. NIV Gift and Award Bible, black imitation leather (Zondervan) and 10. NIV Adventure Bible, clip closure, Italian Duo-Tone leather, blue and gray (Zondervan).

The ECPA charts are based on trade discounted titles selling in at least 20% of reporting stores. Tracts and booklets are excluded. To see the ECPA's April best-seller lists in full, go to www.ecpa.org.
