The hit movie Fireproof (Provident Films/Provident-Integrity Distribution) will air tomorrow, May 7, at 7 p.m., PST on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).

TBN will also show the inspirational drama Monday, May 10, at 2 p.m. PST and Saturday, May 29, at 9 p.m. PST. Fireproof was shown on television for the first time April 25, airing on the Gospel Music Channel prior to the taped broadcast of the 41st Annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.

Boosted by grass-roots support and bulk ticket purchases from churchgoers as well as some Christian retailers, Fireproof made $33.4 million at the box office, despite a modest $500,000 budget from Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Ga. The top independent movie release of 2008, which stars Kirk Cameron as a firefighter who turns to God to save his marriage, has been a best-selling DVD at Christian retail since it was released in January 2009.

The follow-up to Fireproof, Courageous--a film about fatherhood--began shooting this spring in Albany, with a tentative theatrical release date of early 2011. Courageous will be marketed by Provident Films and Affirm Films, the faith label of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Fireproof Director Alex Kendrick will also direct the new film, while his brother and Fireproof's producer, Stephen, will also co-write and produce.
